Your own routines, for any agent.

A habit is a routine you write once in plain steps, like “deploy” or “start my day”. Say its name and your agent runs the steps with its own tools. Prism stores them and hands them over.

Your agent
Yourun my deploy habit
Prismhabits “deploy” · checklist
1. shell: npm run build

2. shell: npm run lint

3. shell: npm run deploy:staging

note: unknown source label: use whichever tool fits
Your agent✓ build ✓ lint ✓ deploy:staging. Staging is updated.
~/northwind
$ prism habit add "deploy" --description "Build, lint, then ship to staging" --step "shell: npm run build" --step "shell: npm run lint" --step "shell: npm run deploy:staging" --output checklistAdded habit “deploy” (3 steps). Ask your agent: “run my deploy habit”.

“deploy”: build and lint, then your own deploy script. Save it with prism habit add.

Steps in plain words

Each step is “source: action”, like shell: npm run build or github: list my open PRs.

Your agent runs them

With its own tools: your shell, GitHub, Linear and more. If one is not connected, it says so and moves on.

Output your way

A standup, summary, checklist, table or free text.

Stays local

Each habit is a skill file in ~/.prism/skills. Prism refuses steps that look like secrets.

Any agent

Every connected agent gets the same habit through Prism’s habits tool.

Prism runs nothing

It stores the steps and hands them to your agent. The commands are your own.

A habit is a skill
prism habit saves each habit as a SKILL.md in ~/.prism/skills. Prism doesn’t change your agent’s own skills in .claude/skills or .cursor/skills. prism doctor skills warns when a skill names a Prism tool that isn’t turned on.

Try it in your repo.

Install Prism, then connect every agent on this machine. Open the agent again.

$npm install -g @prismapp/cli && prism install all
